Community Development Advisor | Strategic Problem-Solver
Partnering with local organizations and community members to identify needs, strengthen systems, and develop practical, locally grounded solutions that improve opportunity and quality of life.

My work starts with questions, not assumptions. I look for the practical problems people are actually facing, work alongside them to understand root causes, and help develop solutions that fit their local reality.

Whether working with students, nonprofit staff, or community partners, I begin by observing, asking questions, and understanding what is actually getting in the way.
I look for process gaps, communication issues, underused tools, and missed opportunities that can be improved without overcomplicating the work.
The goal is not theory for theory’s sake. It is to help people move toward clearer processes, better coordination, stronger opportunity, and improved quality of life.
My current work in Cabo Verde is taking shape through practical entry points: student engagement, nonprofit support, and community mapping. These are not the only things I do—they are the forms of contribution that have been most immediately useful so far.
Supporting weekly English conversation sessions and contributing to early-stage programming concepts around communication, practical skills, and community-oriented learning at the University of Cabo Verde.
Working with staff to strengthen communication, identify recurring administrative and interpersonal friction points, and think through practical ways to improve daily processes and team effectiveness.
Contributing to a community mapping and outreach effort designed to better understand local services, make organizations easier to find, and support stronger collaboration across the community.
Across military service, veteran advocacy, international media, education, and community work, a consistent pattern has emerged: show up, build trust, understand the need, and help move people toward practical next steps.
