Learning & Career
Resource Hub

Independently curated. User empowered.

This hub is independently curated and not an official American Spaces, U.S. Embassy, UniCV, government, or listed-provider platform unless clearly stated. Resources are intended to point users toward official provider pages. Nothing is sold here. Always check the official site for final details.

Why this matters

I created this resource hub after spending time in Cabo Verde and seeing how many useful learning, career, language, digital-skills, entrepreneurship, and study resources exist but are scattered across many websites, social media pages, organizations, and temporary announcements.

Cabo Verde is the first pilot focus because this is where the work began. The hub is also designed to grow over time into a broader opportunity-access resource for online learners and communities in other locations.

The purpose is simple: make useful opportunities easier to find, easier to understand, and easier to act on. The hub is meant to help students, workers, teachers, entrepreneurs, managers, volunteers, and community members identify one realistic next step instead of feeling overwhelmed by disconnected information.

Who I am

My background includes organizational leadership, management, education support, veteran outreach, community outreach, English teaching, instructional design interests, and practical program support across different community needs. In Cabo Verde, my work has focused on listening, learning, mapping resources, supporting educational engagement, and exploring ways to connect people with practical opportunity pathways.

This hub is part of a broader professional proof of concept: resource curation, public-interest design, training support, community-development strategy, and opportunity mapping.

What this hub is — and what this hub is not

It is independently curated.
It is not an official American Spaces, U.S. Embassy, UniCV, government, or listed-provider platform unless clearly stated and approved. It is not officially sponsored, endorsed, or maintained by any listed organization unless clearly stated.
It is informational.
Users should always verify current deadlines, costs, certificates, and eligibility on the official provider website.
It is meant to complement existing work.
The goal is to spotlight useful resources and connect people to organizations already doing valuable work, not replace local actors.
It is a starting point.
A listing here does not guarantee quality, acceptance, employment, certification, scholarship, or official recognition.

How resources are selected

Resources are prioritized when they are useful, accessible, relevant to the current pilot focus or online learners, connected to learning or opportunity access, and available through a public source. Some entries are labeled “Check details” or “Check next dates” when users should check the official provider page before acting.

For local organizations, the goal is to use neutral listing language, invite corrections, and avoid implying endorsement, partnership, or official affiliation without permission.

Gateway platforms are included openly.
Large platforms such as Class Central, GCFGlobal, DigitalLearn, Khan Academy, FUN MOOC, Microsoft Learn, Cisco, IBM SkillsBuild, and similar resources are listed so users can benefit from existing high-quality platforms without being overwhelmed.
Language Foundations are a core access layer.
Beginner English, French, Dutch, Spanish, and Portuguese-supportive resources are prioritized because many users need basic language confidence before they can use larger learning and career platforms well.

Privacy and analytics

This hub may use aggregate, privacy-conscious analytics or short-link/QR tracking to understand which pages, categories, translation actions, saved-list exports, and outbound resources are useful. This helps improve the hub, remove confusing items, and update resources.

Official provider sites may open in English or Portuguese. Use your browser’s Translate option if needed. / Os sites oficiais podem abrir em inglês. Use a opção Traduzir do navegador, se necessário.

Privacy posture: The hub does not use advertising trackers, remarketing pixels, personal identity tracking, or require users to create an account on this site. If you contact me or submit a form, only share information you are comfortable sending. External resource websites have their own privacy policies and terms.

Status labels used in the Resource Hub

Available now means an opportunity appears currently available. Available anytime means it is usually open anytime or self-paced. Opens soon means a future opening date is visible. Check next dates means the opportunity may return but the current window may be closed, so look for the next round. Check details (or Check dates when timing is involved) means users should open the official provider page to confirm before acting.
